Wedmore Opera began, 24 years ago, when a few friends sitting round a kitchen table decided to put on an opera. We are all volunteers and every one of our 15 productions since then has been realised through the generous gift of people's time, energy, skill and money.
The Wedmore Opera Chorus, our technical team, our director, conductor, administrator, webmaster, ticket sellers, programme writers, fundraisers, publicists and programme sellers are all volunteers. You'd be amazed by the jobs there are to do and if you would like to get involved, we certainly have a job for you.

Every penny counts and every donation is hugely appreciated. While we raise as much as we can from the sale of reasonably priced tickets and advertising in our programme, and hold fundraising events and make applications for small grants, our donors are a vital part of the picture. We have three categories of donor designed to suit all pockets.
